Our little ones like this water park so we will continue to go. My qualm is the price, both seasonal passes and passes at the door. They continue to raise the price for seasonal family passes and it no longer is a bargain compared to at the door. It's incredibly expensive for three people to go, there's no sign of upgrades to justify the costs and they aren't open often or even early. It would be nice to see a change in hours to accommodate families who might like to go before the hottest part of the day.
We LOVE Signal Bay Waterpark. The main play area is perfect for younger children and those who want to lounge around in the zero entry area. The lazy river is great for the taller kids and adults, but check their height requirements and rules before you go. The only thing we don't like is the food policy, but understand why it is in place. There is supposed to be no eating in the pool area, and even with that rule, we still find food and trash under the pool chairs. I can imagine what it would look like if food WAS allowed in that area. Overall, Signal Bay has been the perfect place for us to cool off in the summer.
Small kids aren't allowed out of the toddler area. My kids really wanted to do the lazy river, but some of us had to be left out. No snack bar, no vending machines, not much shade. OK, if your older and trying to save a couple dollars, otherwise do yourself a favor and go to SPLASHDOWN. It's WAY BETTER!
The playground here is one of the worst I've seen. Though there's quite a bit of equipment it is very old with lots of chipped paint. We haven't been to the Water Park yet but it looks to be nicer than the playground so we may give it a try. We just moved to this area and it's the closest playground to us so I'm kind of disappointed, but we will find another one (Signal Hill Elementary School has an amazing park that should be great once school is out).
Great place! Great water features for children and a clean lazy river. I only wish they had an age limit for the baby pool as there were lots of rambunctious kids splashing my six month old face her first time in a real pool. She had fun regardless but I was a bit annoyed.
